A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL LIFEKEYS PROGRAM
PRODUCE YOUR APPLICATION FORMS

-
These can be downloaded from our website here
-
Your details should include dates, times, cost, location and contact person
-
These must be available anytime the program is advertised with someone ready
to answer any questions they may have. Keep in mind that for some people, signing
up for a group program can be a little intimidating. Be warm and encouraging and above all make
them feel welcome and accepted.
-
The closing date for applications should be 2 weeks prior to program commencement (this is to
allow time for interviewing and grouping of participants)
-
We recommend an "early bird" rate of $66.00, and a normal fee of $77.00 per participant
-
Participants must be interviewed by experienced faciliators prior to them being grouped. This is
particularly important for those involved in Valiant Man, Man to Man, Women to Women, Man to Man,
Search for Life and Healthy Lifestyle (interview forms are located on your admin CD
SPECIAL NOTE ON GROUPING PARTICIPANTS
-
Group sizes should be 6 - 8 participants plus two facilitators
-
DO NOT put friends, relatives or partners in the same group
-
For those doing Search for Life - keep the genders seperate in the small group session. All other
programs are gender specific apart from New Beginnings and Making Marriage Better
-
Making Marriage Better - couples have an 'inventory questionaire' to complete prior to commencement
-
New Beginnings - participants are to be interviewed by the coordinator of the program who will
have expertise in counselling matters relating to drug and alcohol related addiction
-
Door of Hope - participants are to be interviewed by the coordinator of the program who will
have expertise in counselling matters relating to sexual abuse
ADVERTISE YOUR PROGRAM
-
We recommend using a clip from the 'Introduction to Lifekeys DVD' (this can be purchased from the resources section)
-
Having a participant who has completed a program share a short testimony on how the program has impacted them is also very effective
-
This could be done during a coffee & desert evening or at your Sunday service
THE KEY TO SUCCESSFUL PROMOTION:
- Start advertising your programs early - give people plenty of notice
- Promote the "early bird" rate to encourage people to sign up early
- Use an Intro DVD clip and a personal testimony
- Advertise frequently - and always have someone on hand to answer questions and help with applications
HOW IT SHOULD RUN ON THE NIGHT
-
Coffee & Tea (15mins) on arrival for participants from 7:15pm to 7:30pm (be careful this does not run overtime)
-
Corporate Gathering (10mins) - all participants gather at this time (regardless of the program they are attending) for a time of
welcome and worship for a period of no more than 10 minutes. This is a time to relax and prepare hearts for the teaching
and group time ahead. The "Windows of Life" resource is ideal for this time together and is available in the resource section.
-
Program Teaching (35mins) - participants now go to the room allocated for their program and watch the teaching DVD together
-
Small Group Time (approx 1 hr) - participants are allocated to their group and are introduced to the facilitators where they
participate in group discussion for approximately 1 hr to finish at 10pm
-
Facilitator Debriefing (20mins) - from 10:10pm to 10:30pm the facilitators meet as a group to debrief
AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE PROGRAM
- Have each participant complete a "feedback form" PRIOR to the final teaching session (these are located on the admin CD)
- Encourage each group to have a time of celebration together on their final night (party food etc)
- Facilitators have a time together to debrief and read over the feedback forms
